Liz Gordon, PHD (she/her)

Dr. Gordon is offering sessions in person in Philadelphia and virtually in over 35 states.

Dr. Gordon is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders, with specialized training in social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and OCD. She completed her undergraduate work at Stanford University where she majored in Human Biology and received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Temple University under the mentorship of Richard G. Heimberg, a pioneer in the development of cognitive-behavioral treatment for social anxiety disorder.

Dr. Gordon has practiced in a range of clinical settings including inpatient, community health, and group practice. She integrates a variety of evidence-based techniques into her work with patients, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, interpersonal, and compassion-focused approaches. She has published several articles and book chapters on topics ranging from interpersonal processes in anxiety disorders to wildlife conservation (a long-standing interest of hers). Dr. Gordon was previously on faculty at Haverford College where she taught a variety of courses in psychological science.

Leah is offering sessions in person in Philadelphia and virtually to PA and NJ residents.

Leah is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She completed her undergraduate work at Temple University where she majored in psychology, and she received her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Villanova University.

Leah is a trauma-informed therapist with several years of experience working in the mental health field. She has worked with individuals of all ages who experience symptoms of OCD, anxiety, mood disorders, eating disorders, and neurodivergence. She has practiced in a variety of clinical settings including intensive outpatient, community mental health, and private practice. Leah strives to provide inclusive and equitable care, taking into account a client’s background, culture, race, ability status, sexuality, and gender.

Most recently, Leah worked as a Behavior Specialist at Rogers Behavioral Health, a renowned treatment center for OCD and anxiety disorders, where she utilized exposure and response prevention to treat children and adolescents. In addition to ERP, Leah has experience implementing interventions from various treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.


AOTCP Co-Founders

The Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center of Philadelphia was co-founded by Jonathan Grayson, Tejal Jakatdar, Harold Kirby, and Cathy Grayson in 2010. The founders of the AOTCP built a reputation of excellence in providing evidence-based treatments to individuals suffering from anxiety disorders in the Philadelphia region. Dr. Grayson and Dr. Jakatdar have each relocated and currently provide similar treatment services in Los Angeles (Dr. Grayson) and San Francisco (Dr. Jakatdar). Their legacy lives on in spirit at the AOTCP.
